The 7/16-20 thread size has became standard on brake balance bars in the mid-2000s, but for decades before that 3/8-24 was the standard thread size. If you need to install a new remote adjuster cable (set up for a 3/8" bar) on a car with a newer 7/16" bar, this special adapter from obp Motorsport will help you make the connection.
One end of this coupler has female 7/16-20 UNF threads to screw on to the bar. The other end has male 3/8-24 UNF threads to accept the remote cable coupler nut. A setscrew on the female side lets you lock the adapter to the bar. Sold individually, one required per installation.
