The DC Electronics EPAS18A Autonomous Ultra ECU is a specialized electronic control unit designed to manage electric power-assisted steering (EPAS) systems It enables both manual driving and automated/autonomous steering control via CAN bus integration.
The Ultra EPAS System is built around a high-performance low-ratio gearbox, delivering usability beyond what is achievable with conventional EPAS systems while maintaining exceptional steering feel and feedback. Five fully configurable steering maps allow assistance characteristics to be fine-tuned via our free to download software, ensuring optimal performance across a wide range of vehicles and driving conditions. Integrated CAN bus connectivity provides complete access to system data, enabling seamless logging and analysis through the vehicle’s data acquisition system.
