Larry Chen // 420hp and Carbon Everything. Shawn Bassett’s 240z is Pikes Peak Hillclimb Ready

There’s nothing like seeing your buds achieve their goals. Shawn Bassett has been building his $1k Datsun 240z with the goal of summiting Pikes Peak in competition for some time… and after a long path, he finally made it. We’re not gonna say this is final form, but it’s been evolved over many, many time attack events to be ready for its climb up the peak. 2,600 lbs, big ‘ol Toyos, and a “carbon footprint” to be jealous of makes this for a racecar that we’re all about.
